. ABOUT OUR CLUB

.started as a small group of 3 Area residents in spring of 1998,
.around the coffee table discussing their rides, they thought they should form an ad hoc riding club
.$20 each into the pot, and got a Logo and a Hat.
and thus was formed the original Kawartha Trail Riders

From there word of mouth spread and the small Group  of Kawartha Trail Riders became 20 and then 50 and recognised the need to be better organised and more visible to deal with the increasing complexities, political and legal wise, that were coming into play.

In 2003 the Club became an official Chapter of HATVA.
In 2006/7 wishing to be more dedicated and focused on the specific needs of the Kawartha's,  split from HATVA and became the Kawartha ATV Association.

2006 - 2008 - Steve Lane became first president of KATVA
2009 - 2010 - Kerrie Wright
2010 - Present  - Bruce Watson

From our tiny roots we are now in excess of 700 Members and growing.
